Adjacent to our B & B is the Basilica of St. Agnes Outside the Walls, a church in Rome in the Trieste area between Via Nomentana and Via is St. Agnes.
The interior is preceded by a narthex, which houses the marble slab with the original inscription of Pope Damasus dedicated to the martyr St. Agnes, and a marble pluteus dating to the first arrangement of the grave of martyr by Pope Liberius (352 -356), which has at its center the figure of the martyr wrapped in a Dalmatian.
The basilica leads to the crypt, the adjoining monastery and the catacombs below.
The pipe organ in the basilica is placed in the women's gallery section that runs sull'endonartece, in the counter, and was built by Joseph Migliorini nel1928 and restored and enlarged in 1982 by the Tamburini of Crema. The instrument, with two keyboards and pedals are concave-radial electric power transmission.
